Retired Elder Damaris Njoki Chege

12.01.1948 – 04.07.2022

It is with great sorrow we announce the death of Damaris Njoki Chege after a long battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel Muihia and the late Priscilla Wanjiru. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Kimani Chege with whom she had five beautiful and handsome children; Alexander Chege and Sharon Sakwa, the late Bernard Muihia and Jonette Mayo, Beatrice Chege (KCB),Agnes Kimani (KWFT) and Pius Gicheru.

She also lived to see her grandchildren; Yanzi Njoki, Lola Khasungu, La’kia,Takiyah Njoki,Tatyana Ngina, Zion, Jayden Kimani, Jabari Chege, Natasha Mumbua, Trevor Kimani, Anita Wanjiru, Andrew Kimathi and Austin Kimani. Her great grand children: Za’kira, Zy’aire Talik.

Sister to the late Isabel Gathoni, the late Wilfred Njenga, Leah Wangari, Lillian Wanjiku, Janet Wanjiku, Tabitha Nyaguthii, Arcbald Kimani, Hon. Moses Muihia and David Njoroge.

Daughter-in-love to the late Ephantus Chege and the late Josephine Nduta. Sister-in-love to the late Felistus Wanjiru, Scholastica Mugure, the late Vincent Gicheru, Stephen Kihara, Michael Ngotho and Loise Njeri. An aunt, cousin, grand mother, great-grand mother and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Avenue Hospital on Wednesday, 13th July 2022 at 9:30am for the funeral service to be held at P.C.E.A -Gichecheni at 11:00am and thereafter she will be laid to rest at P.C.E.A The torch of God- Thogoto.

Meetings for the funeral preparation are being held everyday at her home in Senate Estate- Kangondo, Muhuri Road

She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace
