Retired Elder Ephantus Gakungi Macharia

The family of Ephantus Gakungi (E.G) Macharia (Former – Director NACHU) are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father on Wednesday 8th March, 2023.

E.G. Macharia was born to the late Mr. Geoffrey Macharia and Mrs Grace Njeri Macharia.

Loving Husband to Alice Wanjiru. Loving Father of David Gakungi, Grace Njeri, Janet Wanjiku, Esther Waithera and Faith Nyambura. Father-in-law to Beth Gakungi and Julius Wanjohi. Doting grandfather of Daniel, Wambui, Kayla, Emmanuel, Sean, Eli, and Angel Faraja. Great-grandfather to Atara Nyambura.

Brother to the late Gideon Kuria, the late Beatrice Nyambura, the late Phyllis Kabura, the late Elizabeth Waithera & the late Benson Kabiru.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his farm in Eriithia, Njoro – Egerton from 4.00pm for prayers, fellowship, and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves the War Memorial Hospital – Nakuru on 17th March, 2023 at 7.30am for the funeral service and interment at their family home in Eriithia, Njoro, Egerton.

He fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith.
