Retired Lay Reader Obadia Kanyonga Rugwe

It is with deep sorrow, humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely death of Retired Lay reader Obadia Kanyonga Rugwe, which occurred on the 3rd September 2019 at Nazareth Mission Hospital.

Son of the late Willie Waweru Kihuha (Rugwe) and the late Lizzie Njoki Kabetu. Husband of the late Grace Wanjiru Kanyonga. Brother of the late Phillip Kabetu, late Harry Kihuha, late Jemimah Wairimu and late Lydia Njeri. And Step Brother of the late Peter Kihuha, Amos Mbugua, Pastor Bernard Mukuria and Moses Kanyonga. Father of Lizzie Njoki, the late John Waweru, Samuel Kabue, Loise Wangui, Jemimah Wairimu, late Serah Njeri, James Kihuha, Morris Kahara and Lydia Njeri. Father-in-law of late Thomas Gitau, Hannah Wangari, Salome Njeri, late George Kung’u Kiuna, late Simon Mirara, Catherine Mwaniki, and Grace Wanjiku. Uncle, grandfather and great grandfather of many.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at his residence at Kinoo. On Sunday of 8th. September there will be a service at his residence starting from 3.00PM.

Burial will be on 10th September 2019 at his Farm at Kinoo, near Kinoo Shopping Centre and behind Jack Mill Super Market. The cortege will leave PCEA Kikuyu Hospital on 10/09/2019 at 9.00 AM for a Church service at ACK St Mark Church Kinoo at 12.00 PM. This will be followed by his final send off at his Farm.
