Son to Wilson Mbui Mbataru and Judith Tirindi Wilson. Son-in-law to Joshua M’lkiugu and Rebeccah. Husband to Teresia G. Karimba. Father to Catherine Nkatha Mugo (Ruiru Boys), Patrick Gitonga (Isiolo Gen Hospital), Jacqueline Karimi (KMTC Isiolo) and Benson Mutuma (Meru University). Father in law to Kenneth Mugo, Josephine Muthoni, Newton Mutuma and Esther Njeri.

He is brother to Eliphas & Purity Mwiti, Rose Kajuju, Late Muguongo & Grace, Grace Njiru & Late Kinoti, Mercy & Rev. Kinoti, Late Emily & Mwenda Muriuki, Rev. Lucy & Micheni, Marangu & Rosebeth and Joy Kinya.

Grandfather to Mugambi, Vincent, Vespers, Pateve, Muthomi, Ryan, Tasha, Chris, Craig, Calvin, Curtis, Shanelle and Lavigne.

The cortege leaves Kiirua Mission Hospital Mortuary on Saturday, 10/09/2022 at 8.00am for a funeral service and burial at his family rural home in Gatakene Village (Gituntune) Upper Chure Sub-location, Chure Location, Abogeta West, South Imenti.
