It is with humble submission to God’s will, that the Rt. Rev. James Maria Wainaina, Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Murang’a, announces the demise of Rev. Fr. John Arthur Matindi.
Beloved son of the late Joseph Mwangi and the late Leah Waithira. Brother to Julius Nahashon Maina, George Washington Kariuki, Peter Sebastian Gicheru, Jane Teresa Wanjiku, the late Mary Penina Muthoni, Moses Abraham Macharia and Gregory Benjamin Gikonyo.
Daily requiem masses are taking place at their residence in Ngurue-ini Village, Kiria-ini Parish, starting at 3:00pm.
On Wednesday, the 17th May, 2023 the mass will be held at Kiria-ini Catholic Parish, also at 3:00pm.
The cortege leaves Our Lady Consolata Kiria-ini Funeral Home on Friday 19th May, 2023 for a funeral mass and interment from 10.00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral Parish Grounds, Murang’a.
“Eternal Rest Grant Unto Him 0 Lord, and Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him.”

May Father Matindi Rest in Peace. We schooled at the same school at Kiria-ini Primary though ahead of us. Last met him when he was invited for a mass by Father Kanyi at Madre Teresa Zimmerman Church. May our Lord give him eternal rest. Amen
