 Born: 1st August 1984 – Died: 29th July 2023

With the humble submission to God’s will, the Catholic Archdiocese of Nyeri and the Family of the late John Kamamia Ndiang’ui wishes to announce the sudden demise of the late Rev Fr Joseph Mwangi Kamamia who passed on Saturday, 29/07/2023 in a tragic road accident along Nanyuki-Meru road.

Beloved son to the late John Kamamia Ndiang’ui and Teresa Wambui Kamamia. Brother to Charles Maina, Beatrice Wangeci, Francis Muriithi, Simon Kiama, Elizabeth Nyeri, Alice Nyakinyua, David Wambugu and Cecilia Nyawira.

Uncle to: Stephen Kamamia, Melvin Kariuki, Brian Wathuta, Delyan Maina, Maryann Wambui, Morphat Mathenge, Mary Nyawira, Teresa Wambui Kariuki, John Wathuta, Benedict Gitonga, Victor Maina, Teresa Wambui Nyakinyua, John Kamamia, Leah Wairimu, Margaret Mumbi, Teresa Wambui Wambugu, Josphine Wangui, Teresa Wambui Kibe, Joan Wambui, Kezia Wanjiku, Albert Mwangi.

He was Grandfather to Justin Murimi, Peter Gitonga, Beatrice Wangeci and Precious Wangeci.

Until His demise, Rev Fr Joseph Kamamia was the Parish Priest of St Peter and Paul Kariko Catholic Parish- Othaya. He has also worked in other parishes including Gitau, Gikumtao and Naromuro Town.

Daily Masses are being held at Kariko parish and at his parents’ home in Embaringo Sub-location, Kagongo Village beginning at 3.00pm.

There will be a Vigil Mass at Kariko Catholic Parish on Wednesday, 2/8/2023 at 2:30pm.

The cortege leaves St Michael Funeral Home on Thursday, 3/8/2023 for burial mass at Mathari Pastoral ground beginning at 10:00am and burial thereafter at Mathari Clergy Cemetery.

Eternal Rest Grant unto Him Oh Lord and Let Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him. May he rest in peace Amen.
