Rev. Fr. Protasio Nyaga

The Catholic Diocese of Meru regrets to announce the sudden death of Rev. Fr. Protasio Nyaga, that occurred Saturday, 21st May, 2022 after the road accident along Nyeri- Nanyuki Road. Until his demise, He has been the Parish Priest of Nkabune Parish, in Imenti North Deanery, Catholic Diocese of Meru.

He is the fourth born of Bartholomeo Ndereba and the late Agnes Kagoni. He was step-son to Julia Kaburi.

He is brother of Filipina Gatiria, Sisto Mutugi, Sr. Dionisia Kaburi (Cottolengo Sister), Michael Gitonga,Albert Kibaara, the late Celestina Muthoni, Josphine Ngugi, Alphonse Kimathi, Bibian Kathure, Anne Kendi, Angela Kathwa, the late Felix Rwanda, Victor Muriithi, Angelica Kathiiri, Regina Gakii, Daniel Muthengi, Mary Kangai and Zabron Murathii. He was uncle, cousin and in-law of many.

The cortege leaves Consolata Hospital Nkubu, on Monday, 30th May, 2022 at 8:30 am and proceed to Mujwa Catholic Church for funeral mass at 10:00 am and thereafter, laid to rest at Mujwa Cemetery in Central Imenti, Meru County.
