It is with humble submission to God’s will, that the Rt. Rev. James Maria Wainaina, Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Murang’a, announces the demise of Rev. Fr. Rufus Peter Gakure Kibaara.

Beloved son of the late Samuel Kibaara and the late Teresia Kirangari of Gitiri Village, Mugoiri Location, Kahuro Sub-County, Murang’a County. Brother to Mary Njeri, Patrick Wainaina, Mercy Wanjiku, Wilson Irungu, Mutigairi Jennifer Giciru, Lawrence Kamau, Lucy Gitiri, Pastor Nelson Kibiriu, Susan Kabura, Solomon Mwangi and Joseph Wairia.

Daily requiem masses are taking place at their residence in Gitiri Village, starting at 3:00pm.

Today, the 23rd May 2023, the mass will be held at PIA, Catholic Church and on Wednesday, the 24th May 2023 the mass will be held at Mugoiri Catholic Church, also at 3:00pm.

The cortege leaves Our Lady Consolata Kiria-ini Funeral Home on Thursday, 25th May 2023 at 7:00am for a funeral mass and final commendation from 10.00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral Church – Murang’a.
