Robert Bwire Ochieno

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing on of Mr. Robert Bwire Ochieno, through a tragic road accident on 19th November 2022. Robert was a teacher at Memon Academy Mombasa.

He was the first born son of Mzee Jackson Joel Ochieno (Omutabona) and Mama Elizabeth Nekesa Ochieno (Namudde), and step-son to Mama Angelina Kakayi Ochieno (Namurwa) of Bujibi Village, Mundika, Busia County.

The late Robert was the loving husband to Mrs Beatrice Bwire (Nakhabi), the daughter of Mzee Charles Juma and Mama Grace Akinyi (Nang’ayo). He was the loving dad to Andrew Bwire, Audrey Nekesa and Aisha Bwire.

Robert was the elder brother to the late twins Jacob and Esau Ochieno, Dr. Dennis Wanyama Ochieno (MMUST), Patricia Khamala Meso, Judith Taaka Standa,Vincent Egesa Ochieno, Victor Nyongesa Ochieno, Anne Wughanga Mwandoe, Irene Nafula Kimani, Albert Ariada Ochieno, George Wamalwa Ochieno and Maria Masasa Ochieno.

Robert was a dear uncle to Alvin Jonah Ochieno, Aryanna Dennise Ochieno, Regina Nekesa, Yvonne Nekesa, Joel Standa, Raymond Ochieno Egesa, Nathan Joel Egesa, Amana Joyliza — Egesa, Jonathan Ochieno Nyongesa, Angel Wangui, Ayden Mwangi, Bella Marita Ariada, Tamara Wamalwa and Linah Wamalwa.

Robert was Nephew to the late Joshua Duncan Wandera, Albert Owori Ariada, David Ojiambo and Alice Wanyama.

He was Cousin to the Ariadas, Mabusis, the Murefus and the Owanas.

Robert was brother-in-law to Godfrey Juma, Elizabeth Juma, Edward Mukanga ,Victoria Naluyange Wanyama, Rebecca Egesa, Christine Nasila Nyongesa, David Meso, Erick Standa Kimunguyi, Ernest Mwang’ombe, Kenneth Kimani and Maureen Wamalwa.

The body lies at Pandya Memorial Hospital in Mombasa.

Funeral arrangement meetings are taking place daily from 6.00pm at Umoja Links Lounge, next to Samba, Factory Road, Bamburi.

The Burial is scheduled on 3rd December 2022 at home in Bujibi Village, Mundika, Busia County.

The family, teaching fraternity, friends and the larger community has lost an extraordinary teacher.

Robert, in our hearts you will forever remain, till we meet again.
