Until her demise, she was the Assistant Director of Nursing Services, Department of Health Services. Wife of Boniface Murugami of Thika Technical Training Institute. Mother of Ernest Chege (Nairobi Water Company), Eric Mwangi (Hospitality Systems Consultants) and Evalyne Waithera of UoN-CRISSP. Daughter of Joseph Muriuki and Joan Wairimu of Mathia Village Kirinyaga. Daughter in-law of the late Willie Chege and Teresia Waithera, sister of Florence, Maina, Meru, Wanjiku, and Wanjira of Mathia village in Kirinyaga. Sister in-law of Jennifer Njeri (Murang’a), Robert Michire (Murang’a), Mwangi Chege (Mwangi Chege & Co. Advocates), Beatrice Wanja Mwangi (Nairobi) , Salome Wangeci (Murang’a), Kenneth Machaga (Cereals Board-Tala), Carol Machaga (Nairobi) and Auntie of many.
