It is with humble acceptance of God’s with that we announce the passing of Rose Wangari Maina of Karatina, Jambo area, Mathira East Sub-county, Nyeri County.

Daughter of the late Nahashon Karuri and Hannah Waithira. Wife of the late Tarachisio Maina Gikandi.

Mother of Nahashon Karuri, Ann Waithira, Margaret Njeri, Sarah Wangechi (UK), Agnes Wanjiru, Lucy Wahito, Judy Muthoni and the late Ephantus Gikandi.

Mother-in-law of Jane Wanjiru, Simon Ngotho, Milly Waithira, Edward Njaramba Trevor Merchant and Ruth Wangari. Grandmother of Patrick Macharia, James Macharia, Patrick Wanjiru, Loise Wangari, Fusha Wangari, Eric Macharia, Mercy Wangui, Lydia Wambui, Maureen Njeri, Esther Njeri, Frank Ngotho, Ian Macharia, Alex Maina, Tarachisio Maina, Loise Wangari, Fridah Wahito, Tereza Wangari, Rose Njambi, Shantel Wangari and Alvan Maina.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home, Kiangai at 4pm and Ibis I Hotel, Karatina, for burial arrangement.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary, Karatina, on Wednesday 09/12/2020 at 8am.

Funeral service and burial will be held at her home Jambo area, behind AS Energy Petrol Station, at the Kerugoya Junction, starting 10am.
