Rose Wanjiku Gichuki

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Rose Wanjiku Gichuki, that occurred on 13th April, 2021, after a short illness.

Beloved daughter of the late Jeremiah Gichuki Kimura and late Peninah Wanjiru Gichuki. Dear mother to Peninah Wanjiru. Sister of the late Kimura Gichuki, Professor Stephen Njuguna (Kenyatta University), ElizabethWairimu Mugweru (Njoro), James Kiarie (Ongata Rongai), Margaret Wambui Muiru (Muthithi Gardens, Kiambu), the late Florence Mumbi, the late Jackson Boro, John Kung’u (Eden Tea), Paul Ndung’u (Kitengela) & Jane Mukuhi (Presbyterian University). Sister-,in-law to the late Peris Njuguna, Dorcas Njuguna, William Mugweru, Miriam Kiarie, the late Col. Michael Muiru, Irene Kung’u, Maria Ndung’u & Joseph Githinji. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and grandchildren who dearly adored her.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Friday 16th April, 2021 at 9:00am for a farewell service and burial at Kiambu County, Githunguri Sub County, lkinu Location, Gitiha Village (near Gatina Primary School) at 11:00am. In compliance with MoH Covid- 19 protocols, funeral arrangements are being planned by a small committee.
