Rosemary Majala Githaiga

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Rosemary Majala Githaiga on Tuesday, 6th December 2022 at the Nairobi Hospital, after a short illness. Rosemary was formerly of Cooperative Bank of Kenya, CIC Insurance Group PLC and Majala Githaiga & Associates.

She was the wife to Anthony Githaiga Gichora, mother to Gichora Githaiga, Ndunge Gichora and Wangechi Githaiga; and the grandmother to Jamba Githaiga Gichora.

Daughter of David Kaimba Muthengi and Phidilliah Wanjala Kaimba, and daughter-in-law to the late Gibson Gichora Githaiga and Nancy Wangechi Gichora.

Sister to Sospeter Muthengi,Wellington Mutua, Jessica Kaimba and the late Eunice Kaimba. Sister-in-law to Nancy Muthengi, Fidelis Mutua, Florence Nyambura,Winnie Gathoni, Geoffrey Gatutha, Hutchinson King’ori, Irene King’ori and Dadson Mwangi.

Aunty to Michelle Wanjala, Michael Kaimba,Trevor Kirungui,Abigail Wanjala, Glanna Ella, Riba Mwangi, Ritho Mwangi,Anthony Mathenge, Brian Gichora, Jeremy Gichora, Jeffrey Githongo and Sandra Wangechi among others. Rosemary was a cherished cousin, aunty, friend, colleague and mentor to many. She will be dearly missed.

The final condolence service will be held on Tuesday, 13th December from 5.15pm at All Saints Cathedral.

The burial service will be on Wednesday, 14th December, from 11.00 am at Kagongo Primary School In Othaya, Nyeri. Her body will be laid to rest at the Githaiga Family Home thereafter.
