(Rtd) Ass – Chief Joseph Gachoka Munyua

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Joseph Gachoka Munyua (Rtd) Assistant-Chief Gichiche sub-location, Othaya, who passed on at Kenyatta National Hospital on Saturday, 1st July, 2023 after a long illness.

Son of the late John Munyua Ndirangu (Gathungu) and the late Mary Wangui Munyua.

Beloved husband to Zaveria Gathoni Gachoka.

Father to George & Lucy Munyua, Anastasia & Washington King’ara, the late Agatha Wanjiru, Albina & Fredrick Gitonga, Irene Wangari, Milton & Carol Maina, Patrick & Agatha Ndirangu, Fr. Clement Kinyua (South Korea), Sally Kabuki & Peter – (Director Omwasco), Boniface & Mary Bachia,Angelina Gachoka, Lucy & Paul Mwenja.

Brother to the late Aloise Muhuko, the late Hannah Wanjiru, the late Simon Kabuki, the late David Ndirangu and Wanjiku Wa Mweri.

Son-in-law to the late Joel Nyoko Kinyua and Agatha Wanjiru Nyoko.

Grandfather to Gachoka’s, Muthoni’s, Wanjiku, Kogi, Wachira, Nyawira, Githiri, Karaya, Wangui, Nyambura,Wanjiru,Wairimu,Wainaina.

Uncle to Hon. Justice Mwaniki Gachoka, Gichuhi Mweri, among others.

Family and friends are meeting for daily mass at 3:00pm at his home in Gichiche Sub-location, Chinga, Othaya and at Nairobi for burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Outspan Funeral Home – Nyeri on Monday, 10th July, 2023 at 8:00am for funeral mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Gichiche starting 11:00am and thereafter burial ceremony will be held at his home.
