With hearts filled with faith and hope, we are announcing the promotion to glory of our dear mother, grandmother, nana, and Retired Elder Sybellah Wanjiku Gitiha on 20th May 2023.

Loving wife to Retired Rev. Joshua Gitiha Ng’ang’a of Githunguri Presbytery.

Daughter of the late Josphat Mwaura and Lydiah Mumbi.

Loving mother to Zipporah Wambui (USA), Lydiah Mumbi, the late Catherine Nyathira, Nelson Ng’ang’a (USA), Josephat Mwaura, the Late Sarah Muthii, and Judith Wanjiru (USA).

Grandmother to Maureen Gitonga, Simon Kimani, Barbara Gitonga, Diana Khadaka, Allan Khadaka, Diana Wanjira Kamau, Derrick Ngatia, Kangugi Karanja, Gitiha Karanja, Lornah Wanjiku, Diana Mwaura, and Wambui Mwaura. Nana to many.

Sister to Philip, Ernest, Sarah, Salome, Dorothy, Jedidah, Sammy, Eutychus, Esther and Lois.

Friends and family are meeting daily at Retired Rev. Joshua Gitiha’s home in Kamuhu village, Matuguta for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Mukoe Funeral Home in Githunguri on Friday, 2nd June 2023 at 8:30am. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at PCEA Matuguta Primary School grounds and thereafter the burial ceremony at Rtd. Rev. Gitiha’s home at Kamuhu village.
