It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Rtd. Elder Walter Karanja Gichuki of Ndeiya, Limuru which occurred on 10th April 2021.
Beloved husband to Rtd. Elder Josephine Wambui Karanja. Loving father to Peter and Elder Joyce Gichuki, the late Charles Kiniaru, Alice Kiniaru, Mwihaki and Elder James Njehu, Mumbi and Kara Karianjahi, Nancy and Mbugua Kamau, Serah and Wilson Wambugu, Alice and Martin Wambaa, Mary and Peter Kuria, Ruth Karanja (USA) and late Joyce Karanja.
Brother to the late Benjamin Njenga, the late Godfrey Njoroge, the late Ellud Muhia, the late Peter Bosco Gichuki, and Margaret Wambui Kamau (Moro). Doting grandfather to: Wambui Frilund (Finland); Wanjiru, Wambui & Karanja Gichuki; Karanja & Wambui Kiniaru; Nyathioma,Wambul & Wokl Njehu; Njeri & Caleb Leselne; Mweru Kara; Wangui, Kamau & Karanja Mbugua; Gathoni & Wambui Wambugu; Kioi & Karanja Wambaa; Isaac, Karanja & Wangui Kuria; Githu and Wangecl Njoroge (USA). Great-grandfather to Shawn and Alison Frilund (Finland), and Thabiti Leselne. Cherished Baba, step-brother and Uncle to many.
The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 15th April 2021 at 9:00 ant. The funeral service will be held at P.C.E.A. Mirithu Church grounds In Ndeiya (Limuru) from 11:00 am, followed by the Interment at the family farm In Ndeiya. Adherence to the M.O.H.COVID-19 protocols and guidance will be observed. A Youtube live stream link of the funeral service and interment will be made available.

Guka Karanja Gichuki was a dear friend to the Kagwima family. He spoke at my parent’s wedding (rep parents). We celebrate his life and indeed he has been promoted to Glory. R.I.P. Guka
