It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of our beloved retired Senior Sergent Elijah Munyithya Ngunga, at Coptic Hospital on 9th April, 2023, after a long acute illness.

Son of the late Ngunga Kasivu & the late Nyala Ngunga.

Beloved husband to the late Reginah Kanyaa.

Son-in-law to the late Mutisya Layu, the late Loise Mutambya & Nzasu Mutisya.

Father to: Justinah Munanie (Teacher Kyunduani Pry), Justus Munyithya Advocate (Principal Kenya School of Law), Mercy Mukai (Teacher Musengo Pry), Henry Mutisya (Business man Wikililye), Christine Muthile (Teacher Mulutu Sec Sch), Damaris Katuti (Business lady Kitui), Noreen Ngoki (Grainbulk Mombasa), Franciscah Kalimi (Deputy Head Teacher Vui Pry), Caroline Makasi (KDF), Priscah Kathini.

Father-in-law to Mwendwa Muthembwa, Faith Mbaika Vanani (Advocate Mombasa), Tito Wambua, Elizabeth Kalumu (Kitui School), Judah Atemba, Muinde Kivenzi, John Wambua, Ngotho Mutinda.

Brother to the late Nguva Ngunga, Naomi Wia Milai,Alice Katuti Wali, Mary Mwikali Luusa and the late Mukonza Ngunga.

Grandfather to: Alfred Musembi (Advocate), Samba, Seth, Mary, Kanyaa, Wambua, Phylis, Elijah, Peninnah, Mumo, Musangi, Angel, Kimanzi, Ephzibah, Giloh, Triamphant, Bridgit, Joan & Stacy. Great grandfather to: Gift Mumo, Speranza, Bobby.

Uncle to the Milai’s, Wali’s, Luusa’s, Mukonza’s, Mwende, Musili, the late Mary, Mwathe, Ngunga, Mwendwa, Kilonzi Kangangi, Mutetei, Munan’ye, Mutisya, Mwaniki among others. Cousin & nephew to many.

Family and friends are congregating daily at his home, Mwatate village in Musengo Location, Kitui West Sub county and United Kenya Club Nairobi, for prayers & funeral arrangements at 5:30pm.

The cortege leaves the Coptic Hospital Mortuary on Saturday 22nd April, 2023, at 6:30am for funeral service & burial at his home from 11:00am.
