Ruth Wanjiru Maina

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Wanjiru Maina which occurred at Kenyatta National Hospital on Sunday 24th March 2019. She was a member of Mother’s Union at A.C.K Kirungu Church.

Loving wife of Wilson Maina Macharia. Mother of Sarahlista Wanja, Robert Macharia (JKUAT), and Kenneth Mbugua. Daughter of the late Mbugua Gaitha and Margaret Nyambura. Grandmother of Christine, Trizah, Clarissa, and Alyssa. Mother-in-law of Bernard Ngugi and Esther Macharia (U.S.I.U. Africa). Sister of Esther Wangari, Kellen Wambui, Pastor Peris Riri, Elizabeth Wanjiku, Japheth Gaitha, Samuel Gaitha, and Moses Ngotho. Step-sister of Pastor Gaitha, Wambui, Mukami, the late Wanjiru, Kungu, Rev Mwangi, Gichuki and Githuku. Aunt of Chrispus (ITS/TMS) and Shem (DTB Bank) among others. Sister-in-law of Jason Wambugu (formerly of Mombasa Polytechnic), E. Makena (Nakuru), Duncan Macharia (KETRACO) and Esther Kihara among others.

Family, relatives, and friends are meeting daily from 25th March 2019, at Norwich Union Towers, Opposite Hilton Hotel along Mama Ngina Street, for funeral arrangements starting from 6:00 PM.

She will be laid to rest on 29th March 2019 at Ngurwe-ini Farm, Kiria Village, Wahundura. Her funeral service will be held at A.C.K Kirungu Church starting from 11:00am.
