It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of S/SGT Stephen Mwangi Kariri of Murang’a GK Prison, which occurred at Nairobi South Hospital on 23rd October, 2020 after a short illness bravely borne.

Son of Lawrence Kariri and Josphine Wanjiku of Gaturi, Murang’a County. Loving husband of Beatrice Njeri. Caring father of Milka Njoki (Liz Empire, Rongai), Josphine Wanjiku (Teacher -Beatitude Girls School), Ryne Wanjiru (Teacher Gathirimu Girls Technical School) and Kennedy Kariuki (Michuki Technical College). Brother of Mary Wanjiru, Teresia Muthoni, Charles Wachirah, Patrick Mukuha, Esther Wathanu, Lucy Wambui, Peter Muchoki, James Kuria and Annrose Njoki. Son in law of the late Benard Gakinya and the late Milka Njoki. Father in law of Boniface Ndirangu and James Waweru. Grandfather of Bridgit Wanjiru and Trevor Kimotho. Brother in law of Chrispus Mwangi, James Muthigo, John Mwangi, Elena Wanjiru among others. Uncle of Alex Kariuki, Antony Kariuki, Davis Kariuki, Karlen Wanjiku and many others.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his brother’s residence, 2nd street, Ruiru Toll; his rural home in Gaturi and Murang’a town for funeral arrangements and prayers from 5.00 p.m.

The cortege leaves Montezuma and Monalisa Funeral Home, Thika road, on Friday, 30th October, 2020 at 7.00 aim for a funeral service at rural home in Gaturi, Nderwa village.

Revelation 21 :4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away”.

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” John 11 : 25.

It is well with his Soul.
