Salome Nyawira Gitau

Born: 1932 – Rested: July 2023

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing on of Salome Nyawira Gitau on 23rd July, 2023.

Wife to the late Julius Gitau Kioi together with late Regina Gathoni, Grace Wanjiru and Margrett Wanjiku.

Daughter of the late Moses Kimari and the late Mary Wairimu of Kangemi Thiongo Road. She is a sister to the late Peter Mbugua Kimari, late John Kimanji and late Paul Kamau. She was step sister to many.

She was sister-in-law to Flaviana Nduta Mbugua, Mary Wanjiru Kimanji and Winnie Wanjiku Kamau.

Salome was mother to John Kioi, Elizabeth Wambui, Mary Wairimu, Stella Wanjiku, Jeff Kimari, David Nganga, Jane Wangari and stepmother to many.

She was mother-in-law to Catherine Kioi, Anne Kimari, Maryann Nganga, Joseph Gitau, Peter Murithi and Michael Kahura. She was an aunt, grandmother and great grandmother to many.

The cortege leaves the Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Funeral Home on Friday, 4th August 2023 at 8.00AM for Church Service and burial at Karii, Lusegiti Sub-location, Kikuyu Sub-county, Kiambu at 11.00AM.

Prayer Meetings are going on at 2nd Close North 14th Drive Kerarapon Ngong at 5.00PM daily.

There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, 2nd August 2023 at Karen Community Church at 3.00PM.
