Samuel Karanja Muhunyu

It’s with great humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of a great gentleman Mr. Samuel Karanja Muhunyu that occurred on the morning of 29th July 2022. He was the executive director of Network for Ecofarming in Africa (NECOFA) Molo and a partner with CEMES Ltd.

Loving and caring husband to Mary Wangari Karanja (formerly of Ministry of Agriculture Kilimo House). Father to Jane Gathoni Karanja (Terra Madre Tours and Travels- Nakuru/NECOFA), Anne Mugure Karanja (0oP Ruaraka) and James Muhunyu Karanja (Fantasy Cruise Adventure —Nakuru).

Son to Mary Mugure Muhunyu and the late Muhunyu Kieru. Son-in-law to Mwariri Karumba and Regina Gathoni and EstherWakonyo (All late) of Mairo lnya Nyahururu and Karima Othaya.

Brother to Peter & Susan Kung’u, John & Elizabeth Mwangi, Josphat & Irene Gathiru, Dr. Joseph & Beatrice Chege, Daniel & Esther Ndung’u and Charles & Theresa Githendu. Brother-in-law to Teresiah Wagaki, Jacintah Wangui, Peter Karuiru, George Gichohi, Nicholas Kariuki, Lilian Njeri, Jacintah Wambui, Robert Muigai, Gichohi, Sila Thuku and Karumba, Beth Gathoni, Joseph Mwangi, Gachungi and John Karumba (all late).

Wonderful grandfather to Karanja, Zuri, Ryan, Nadine, Wendy, Tariya and Mia Jasmine.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home Kenyatta Estate phase I Molo for prayers at 4.00prn.The cortege leaves P.N.N funeral Home on Friday, 5th August 2022 at 7:30am for a memorial service at St. Mary’s fixed primary school Molo grounds from 10:00am.

Burial will follow thereafter at the family home at Valley Farm Turi.
