SAMUEL MUGA K’OLALE (MK)

The Universities Academic Staff Union (UASU) regrets to announce the death of Sarnue! Muga K’olale (MK) formerly of Egerton University and a great Trade Unionist and a human rights crusader. He was born in 1955 at Nyagoko sub-location, Asembo South location, Siaya County.

Muga K’olale was a founder member of UASU and served the Union in various capacities notably as Deputy National Secretary General, National Secretary General and National Chairman.
Son of the late Walter Olale and the late Grace Chika and step son to the late Saulina.

He is survived by his spouses Winnie Muga and Mary Muga. A doting father to Grace, Marx, Nelson, Christine, Eva, Victor, Anthony, Beryl, Tom and Chika.

Father-in-law to Jerry, Abrahams and Ann.

Brother to the late Kipenzi, jael, Rose, Rosemary, Ruth, Emily, the late Joan, Onyando and the late George.

Cousin to Jorry, Muga Chika, Onyuka, the late Lumumba and Florence Kunga among others.

Brother-in-law to William, Philip, Bernard and the late Thomas.

The cortege will leave Ram Hospital Mortuary — Kisii Town on Thursday, 20th April, 2023 for a night vigil at his home in Oyugis town, Homa Bay county. He will be laid to rest on Friday, 21st April, 2023 at his home in Oyugis after a funeral Service at Agoro Sare DEB Primary School.
