Samuel Nunda Okech

The Okech Family wishes to announce the passing on of the family patriarch, Samuel Nunda Okech of Kachieng’ Bongu Village, East Kamagak Location, Oyugis, Homa-Bay County. Mzee who was a retired civil servant (Land Surveyor), passed on at his home on 7th December 2018.

Son of the late Okech Outa and the late Agnes Abonyo. Husband of the late Sibia Amonde and Deborah Akoth. Father of George Otieno (Solo), Duncan Okello, Evelyn Akello Kalande, Mary Okech, Shadrack Okech (Adai), Carolyne Okech, Tabitha Okech, Maureen Ruth Kibuye Okech, Godwin Okello, Kevin Wahonya and Sally Okech. Brother of Wilkister Akumu, the late Sarfina Atieno, the late Joseph Opuge Okech, Samson Outa, the late Susan Okech and the late Dorcas Nyalik. Son in-law of the late Androniko Osiany, the late lsdora Guda, Mrs Pamela and Consolata Awiti. Brother-in-law of Sophia Ongili, the late Jeconiah Awiti, Benjamin Odhiambo Osiany, Shelemiah Otieno Osiany, Jared Osiany, Maurice Osiany, the late Jane Owino Ouma and the late Martha Nyerere as well as Onyango Atito and Maurice Nyalik. Father in-law of Dr. Fredrick Kalande, Mr. Bill Kibuye, Maureen Karume Otieno and Faith Njeru Otieno. He is survived by 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Friends and relatives will be meeting at Nairobi Central S.D.A Church (Maxwell) Opp. Integrity Centre on Tuesday 11/12/2018 from 5.00pm,Wednesday 12th at 2.30pm and Thursday 13th at 5.00pm.

The main fundraiser will be held on 17th December at Nairobi Central S.D.A. Church from 5.00 pm.

Mzee will be laid to rest on Friday 21st December 2018 in his rural home Kachieng Sub-location, Oyugis in Homa-Bay County.
