Shem Kimani Macharia

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the sudden promotion to glory of Mr. Shem Kimani Macharia on 6th April, 2023 after a short illness.

Son of the late Macharia Gatauo Thaa and the late Leah Wanjiku Macharia.

Husband to the late Nancy Njoki Kimani. Loving father to Leah Wanjiku (USA), Wangari Kimani and Ruth Wambui Githinji.

Father-in-law to Samuel James Githinji & Hon. Wamaratu Chege. Grandfather to Nagari, Melech, jonelle, Jerome and Annerose.

A loving Brother to the late Miriam Wambui, Bishop Lydia Kamau, Samuel Gitau Macharia, Joyce Wairimu, John Kibe, the late Obed Murugami, and Anne Nyambura.

Family and friends will be meeting for prayers at the home of the late Mr. Macharia, on Monday 10th April, 2023 from 4:00pm and Wednesday 12th April, 2023 from 6:30pm.

There will be a memorial service held in Nairobi on Tuesday 11th April, 2023 at St. James ACK – Buru Buru, from 2:30pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Funeral Home on Thursday 13th April, 2023 at 8:00am followed by the funeral service and burial which will be held at Murungaru Nyandarua, on the same day from 9:00am.
