Shem Ogola Okech (Akuba)

We regret to announce the death of Shem Ogolla Okech, formerly of Bank of India,Asst. Secretary General of the Kenya Union of Commercial Food and Allied Workers Union and Executive Director of the Social Democratic Party, which occurred on 8/6/2022 at Kendu Mission Hospital.

He was the son of the late Andrea Okech and the late Mama Filida Osuro of Kasaye village, Kokoth Kataa, West Karachuonyo. He was the husband of Hilda Ogola, father of Azu Ogolla and Zippy Azu.

He was brother of the late Ascar Awene Kisero, the late Beldinah Acholla Mbori, the late David Wenwa Okech, the late Sam Okech, David Alago, the late Barack Obiero, the late Mwalimu Erustus Alosi, Elijah Alosi and Aturo Kisiara.

Brother-in-law of the late Shem Kisero and the late Zack Mbori. Uncle of Jaindi Kisero, Prof. Dorothy Mbori Ngacha, Irene Obonyo, Lorna Kisero, Lilian Ohayo,T.J.Mbori, Bob Mbori, Nelson Wenwa, Manasseh Wenwa and Zack Wenwa. His parents in-law are David Abuonji and Stella Miena of Gem Aluor, Siaya County.

The cortege leaves Kendu Mission Hospital on 15/6/2022 for burial on 16/6/2022 at his home, Migunde School, Koredo Sub-Location, West Karachuonyo.
