It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Silas Dominic Mugeria on 16th October 2023. Managing Partner, Mugeria, Lempaa and Kariuki Advocate, LLP and formerly of Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).

He was the son of Dominic Kungania and Petronila Kungania.

He was the loving husband of Esther Gacheri and the father to Harry Mutuma (USA), Catherine Nkatha (USA) and Emily Kananu.

He was a caring brother to Francesca Karambu, Martha Kajuju, Felix Muriungi, Juliana Mugure, Cecilia Kathure (NHIF), Charity Nlwimbi and Samuel Mwirigi (ABSA).

Son-in-law to the late Moses Mutuaruchiu and the late Janet Nkirote. Brother-in-law to the late Stanley Muriuki, the late Silas Gitufm, the late Jane Mukomunene, Beatrice Kanyuru, the late Elijah Ntere and Zablon Kinoti. He was an uncle and cousin to many.

Requiem service will take place today Wednesday 18th October 2023 at St. Paul’s University Chapel from 9.00am, Thereafter, he will be cremated at the Kariokor crematoriurn.

2 Timothy 4:7 — “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race,I have kept the faith.”

    The Lord be glorified, Silas was a great gentleman who served his family and community. We shall remember him for his resilience and hard work. May his family be comforted and live to his legacy. Amen

    We pray for strength and comfort for Esther and the children.
    Mr. Mugeria lived his life to the full, he impacted many lives, mine included. He was a gentle giant, firm and diligent in all he did.
    I will miss Mr. Mugeria, he always had a word to encourage and uplift.
