It is with profound shock and sorrow that we announce the death of Simon Kamau Karanja (Gatabia) on 29th July, 2020.

Son of the late Wilson Karanja Waweru and the late Mary Wanjiku Karanja.

Husband of Fridah Kanjiru Kamau. Father of Ibrahim Karanja Kamau. Brother of the late Selina Njeri Karanja, Annastacia Akitoye of UK, Magdaline Karanja, James Waweru Karanja, Jackline Nyambura Karanja, Lourine Wambui Karanja of Netherlands and Anthony Mwangi Karanja. Uncle of Kimole, Wangui, Abdirahaman, Ian, Shawn, Amina, Mishelle, Tim, Jeremy, Augostine, Amber, Wanjiku, Karanja, Shakaina, Abdikadir, Aamira and Amreen. Nephew of Hanna Wanjiku, Samuel, Jacinta, Wandeto, the late Manyeki, the late Ezekiel, Silas, Mbuthia and Muchoki. Cousin to many. Brother-in-law of Gbemi Akintoye, Wilberforce Mvuko, Hussein Guyo, Henk Ikink, Penelope Magaga, Christine Gakii, Stella Kambura and Casty Nkatha.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at his residence in Uthiru.

Burial will be held on Tuesday 4th August, 2020 in Muranga County, Gaitega sub-location, Karaha Village.
