It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Simon Muiruri Gichumbi.

Son of the late Karanja (Gichumbi Muiru) and the late Serah Wangari. Husband to the late Nancy Wambui Muiruri. Father to Cathrine Muthaburi of Thika Hospital, Jane Muiruri of KRA, Nelius Muiruri of Britam, the late Francis Karanja, Benson Mwangi of Muranga County, Phylis Wanjiku, Mercy Ng’ang’a of J.M Kariuki Hospital, John Chege of Kasarani, Jane Nyambura of Taveta Mall and Jacinta Waitherero.

Father-in-law to Jackson Muthaburi, Mary Waithira, Sabina Wangui, Anthony Ng’ang’a and Anne Wangari.

Brother to the late Tabitha Waithira, the late Joel Kang’ethu, Miriam Wanjiru, the late Jacinta Nyambura Kaihura and ReginaWambui Kimuhu.

Uncle to professor Isaac Karanja, Kibe Kahura among others. Grandfather to Faith, Doris and others.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his Gatumbi home, Kigumo Sub-county, Murang’a County and Holy Family Basilica St. Bakhita hall at 6.00p.m. daily.

The body is at Montenzuma Monalisa, Kabati.

Requiem Mass will be on Saturday, 29th October at his home and thereafter burial the same day.

It is God who gives and it is him who takes. May his name be praised. Amen.
