Simon Omondi Omolo (Symo)

It is with profound grief and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Simon Omondi Omolo (Symo) in Kisumu.

Beloved husband to Felijsia. Father to Kyle and Nadia.

Son to Prof Omolo Ongati and Mama Rose Omolo and the late Eve Omolo of Kanyipir, Got Komolo. Grandson to Min Achieng. Loving brother to Sarah Omolo, the late Edward Omolo, Naomi Omolo, Joel Omolo, Marvin Ronnie Omolo, Johnson Omolo, Danvers Okoth Omolo and Gloria Omolo. Also bother to Dr. Andrew Young Apuko, FCPA Hesbon Omolo, Winfred Omondi Omolo, PS Dr Raymond Omolo, CPA Wycliff Ochiaga, among others.

Cousin to Mandela, Leah, Tom, Sarah, Awuor, Tim, Wayne, Leah Migwala, Isaac, Biko, Juliet, Winnie, Lydia, Dorine, Terry, Emma, Gordon, among others.

Brother-in-law to the late Samson Abala, Evelyne, Ayub, Felogene, Nunu, Muneri, among others. Nephew to Washington Ongati, Joash Ongati, Lameck Ongati, Benard Ongati, Sila Ongati, Erick Ongati, Evans Ongati, Kennedy Ongati, Prof Khroda, John Olela, Barnaba Agar, Mordecai Ogembo, Mark Rachuonyo, Japheth Ogendi, Joseph and Johnson Ongati, Onono Apuko, among others.

He was an uncle to Valentine, Natalie, Drexler, Akoth, Stacy, Kersey, Rodney,Amanda, Arnold, Rama, Zhane, Melo, among others.

The cortege will leave Star funeral home, Ogango, Kisumu on Thursday 13th April, 2023 at 12noon and proceed for a night vigil in Kanyipir, Got Komolo. The burial will be held on Friday 14th April, 2023 at his rural home in Homa Bay County, Rachuonyo North, Kanyipir, Got Komolo Village.

Symo will remain in our hearts forever.
