Simon Peter Kang’ere Wahinya (SP)

It’s with sorrow we announce the untimely death of Simon Peter Kang’ere Wahinya (SP) formally of Thika Municipal council and a residence of Juja Highpoint, which occurred on Thursday 07/03/2019.

Son of the late Wahinya Kang’ere and Mary Wahito Wahinya of Kwamaiko, Githunguri, Kiambu County. Husband of Jane Wanjiru Kang’ere (PCEA, Juja). Father of John Wahinya, Mary Wahito and Alex Njogu, Mbugua Joe and Carolyne Wanjiku and Justus Karimi. Son-in-law of the late Mr and Mrs Gidraph Mbugua of Karura Kanyungu. Brother of Elder Esther Njeri Mwatha (PCEA, Mutomo), Anne Wambui Wahinya (Ruiru), Naomi Kinyanjui (Ngarariga Limuru), Hannah Wanjiku Wahinya (formally CBK Kisumu), Daniel Karanja Wahinya (Habib Bank), Njau Wahinya and Stephen Gichohi. Grandfather of Evelyn Wanjiku and Isabella Wanjiru.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence Juja Highpoint, his parents’ homes Kwamaiko and Gathugu, Githunguri for prayers and preparation of the burial, from 5.00pm.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday 17/03/2019 at PCEA Juja Township Church starting from 4:00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University (KU) Funeral Home on Tuesday 19/03/2019 at 8.30am.Thereafter prayers and funeral service will be held at the family home in Gathugu, Komothai Location, Githunguri, Kiambu County.
