It’s with humble acceptance we announce the passing on of Simon Wachira Munene former Provincial Crop Officer Central Province.

Son of both the late Munene Wachira and Wandia Munene of Munyange village. Beloved husband of Vincenza Ngima Wachira. Son-in-law of both the late Samuel Munuhe and Muthoni Munuhe. Father of Munene Wachira, Prof James Munuhe, John Muchiri, the late Peter Muthui, Charles Kingori, the late David Wachira & Mrs Mary Wandia Kiongo. Father-in-law of Pauline Wanja, Prof Wanjiru Munene, Rose Kingori, Wangeci Kingori &Paul Kiongo.

Brother of Muciiri Munene and the Lates Wangui, Wachinga, Kingori and Thuku Munene. Grandfather of Ngima Munene, Gathoni Munene, Simon Wachira Munene, Wanjiku Munene, Leishery Munene, Wachira Munuhe, Ngima Munuhe, Ngima Kingori,Wachira Kingori, Wachira Wachira, Wachira Kiongo, Gathoni Kiongo and Ndichu Kiongo. Great grandfather of Munene Ngima, Munene Gathoni, Kingori Ngima &Wangeci Ngima.

The Cortege leaves Kiriaini Mission Hospital Mortuary on Saturday 5th October 2019 at 9.30am for a requiem mass at 11.00am and burial at his home, Munyange village, Mahiga, Othaya, Nyeri County.
