“Sisi” Joy Wambui Muchina

It is with great sorrow that The Muchina family announce the passing of our beloved matriarch,”Sisi” Joy Muchina of Githumu sub-county, Murang’a County. She went to be with The Lord on 29″ June 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Pastor Isaiah Muchina and Esther “Wanjii” Waithira Muchina. Loving sister to the late Ruth Nyambura Kahuthia, the late William Kihu,the late Cephas Ndegwa and Betty Wanjiku Ngugi.

She was the ever loving mother of Edward Muchina (Lucy Njeri Muchina) and Rose Waithira.

She was the doting grandmother to Joy Wambui (waRose), Abraham Muchina (Njeri Muchina), Sophie Nyambura Muriuki (Kihagi Muriuki), Joy Wambui (Philip Mutinda), Mercy Wanjiru Muchina (John Njuguna), Austin Mwangi (Phylis Njeri), Solomon Kuria (Catherine Njeri) & Rose Waithira Muchina.

She was the adored Maitu of Melanie Waithira (Joy), Ryan Maim (Ab), Trevor Mutugi (Ab), Bradley Mutinda (Wambui), Joe Munyua (Wanjiru), Theru Muriuki (Nyambura), Joshua Mwangi (Ab), Lucylyn Kamene (Wambui), Alina Wangui (Wanjiru}, Njeru Muriuki (Nyambura), Alvin Muchina (Mwangi), Ryan Muchina (Solo),Amelia Njeri (Wanjiru), Lucius Muchina (Wambui).

Family and friends are meeting daily in her Githumu home at Iria-ini from 4.00pm.

A prayer meeting will be held at AIC Milimani in Nairobi on Tuesday 11th July, Wednesday 12th July & Thursday 13th July 2023 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

The funeral service and burial will be held on Saturday, 15th July 2023 at AIC Githumu Church from 9.00am.
