 Born 1927 – Rested 20th June 2018

After 91 years of faithful service to her Lord and Saviour, Susannah Wangui Buku rested on 20th June 2018 at the M P Shah Hospital after a short illness.

Beloved wife of the late Lay Canon Joel Kinuthia Buku. Mother of Hannah Salter, the late Samuel Kinuthia Advocate, the late Dr Grace Buku, Mercy Buku Advocate, Dorcas Omondi and the late Eng Stephen Buku. Mother-in-law of David Salter, Arthur Koteng and Anne Wanjugu. Grandmother of Suzanne, Matthew, Luke, Martin, Allan, Susannah, Nathaniel and Naomi Great-grandmother of Timothy. Daughter of the late Dishon Nguru and late Mary Wangari Dishon of Gaki, village, Kangema, Murang’a.

Sister of the late Dorcas Njeri Macharia, late Dedan Kimani, Jessie Muthoni Nyamu, late Arthur Kiaraho Mwangi, late Hannah Njoki Macharia, Ruth Wanjiru Wanguru, Joseph Nyaga Nguru, Grace Njeri Mukuna and the late Simon Kamau among others. Sister in law of the late Francis Nguru and Hannah Wanjiku of Kiamuturi, Mathioya among others.

Funeral meetings/prayers will be held at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi from 25th – 27th June 2018 from 5.30pm.

Contributions towards the funeral arrangements and hospital bill can be sent to Pay bill no 494474.

There will be a memorial service at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday 28th June 2018 at 12 noon.

The cortege will leave the M P Shah Hospital mortuary at 7.30 am on Friday 29th June 2018 for a burial service at St Phillips ACK Kiamuturi, Mathioya, Muranga County, from 10.30 am.

Our beloved Susannah lived a rich and fruitful life and left a legacy of steadfast faith in God that will continue to inspire many.
