Sister Saphida Wangui Nyaga

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce promotion to the Glory of our beloved mother, Sister Saphida Wangui Nyaga, which occurred on 1st June, 2023 after a long illness.

Daughter to the late Johana Ngungo and Hana Kabui johana. Her siblings were the late Habel Gutu. Misheck Gutu, Mania Gutu, Kabiru Gutu, Magi Gutu and the late Rhoda Wangeci.

After her marriage to the late Silvano Nyaga Mbungu in 1991 she became a Co-wife to the Late Mariamu Wambui Nyaga and Sister-in-law to the late EstherWambui Mbungu, the late Tabitha Karugi Mbungu, Stephen Njoka Mbungu, the late David Kiura Mbungu and the late James Njeru Mbungu.

She was a mother to Patrick Mbungu Businessman Kianyaga), Jane Wakuthii (Business Lady, Embu), Joseph Gacomo (Farmer, Kaniinji), Jamleck Muriuki (Mechanic, Embu), the late Charles Kabuga, Dr. Stephen Njoka, (Kenyatta University), Salome Muthoni (Business Lady, Embu), Catherine Wambura (Lifeway Publishers, Nairobi) and Nathan Munyi (Businessman Embu).

Mother In-law to Eunice MbungusWambui Gacomo, the late Beatrice Muriuki, Beatrice Njoka (Eco-Ethics & Development Ltd, Nairobi), Teresa Munyi, and Joel Kamau. Grandmother and Great Grand Mother to many.

Family and friends are meeting at ACK All Saints Cathedral Meeting Room in Nairobi, Embu town Salkan Hotel and at her home in Kiaumbui village in Rupingazi Sub-location. Njukiini Location of Gichugu Sub-County in Kirinyaga County.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home-(101FH) on Saturday, 10th June, 2023 at 7.30am, for a Funeral Service at ACK St. Augustine Church, Kiaumbui at 10.30am and later laid to rest at her Kiaumbui Home at 1.00pm.
