Sophia Chelang’at Kerich

December 10, 1945 – April 7, 2023

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Sophia Chelang’at Kerich of Chesinende, Simotwet Village, Kericho Courity.

Wife to the late John Kimutai Kerich. Mother to Florence, Benard, Molly,Arnold, Michael, Peter and Stephanie. Mother in-law to Nick, Maureen, Hellen Arnold, Hellen Mike and Edith. She was grandmother and auntie to many.

Sophia was the 10th child to Benjamin and Rachel Chumo (both late) of Kapchepkoro, Sotik. Sister to Robert, Job, Simeon, Mary, Andrew, Philip, Elizabeth (all late), Anna Sagala (Kitale), Daniel Rono (Kitale) and Naomi Soi (Sotik). She was sister in-law and friend to many.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Mbagathi Way, Nairobi on 14th April 2023 at 7.00am for an overnight stay at her home in Simotwet Village, Chesinende-Chepseon, Kericho County. The funeral service and burial will take place on 15th April 2023 at her home in Chesinende, Chepseon- Kericho County.
