It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we the Sisters of Mary of Kakamega do announce the passing on of Sr. Mary Theresa jobina Kerubo Nyakundi of Mwa Nyakundi Family, Bogichoncho Village, Riontweka Sub-location, Gionsaria Location, Kionduso Division, Bobasi Constituency, Nyamache Sub-county, Kisii County, Nyangusu Parish – Kisii Diocese.

Daughter to the late Mzee Cosmas Nyakundi and the late Mama Kwamboka. Step-daughter to the late Mama Salorrie Gekondo and Mellen Nyangweso.

Sister to the late Joel, the late Charles, Priscilla, Augustine, Benson, Olipher, the late Nelson, the late Jeremiah Nyangaresi, Esther, Margaret, Martha, Wilson, Alice, Astarico, Dominic and Christopher, among others.

Sister-in-law to Agnes, Milka, Hellena Mogoi, Eunice Bisieri, Kerubo, the late Agnes, Alice, Winfridah, Moraa, the late Charles Areri, Abere and Nyabuto, among others.

Cousin to Absolom Nyangoto, Omosa, Birundi, Peris, Alice, Gladys Esther, Rose, Nyanchama Sr. Grace of Bannabikira Sisters, Peter, Mochama John, and Richard Kizito Nyakundi, among others.

The cortege leaves Mukumu Mortuary on 06/09/2023 to SMK Mukumu Chapel at 3.30pm for a Requiem Mass at 4:00pm. Thereafter,Vigil Masses will be held at the same SMK Chapel. The burial service will be held on 07/09/2023 at SMK Mukumu Cemetery.
