It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the transition to glory of Mr. Stanley Kipkurui Mutai of Itoibei Village, Ainamoi Constituency, Kericho County on Sunday 3rd September, 2023 while undergoing treatment at The Nairobi Hospital. At the time of his passing on, Stanley was the first Vice National Chairman of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT).
Beloved son of the late Stephen Biegon and Mary Biegon of Itoibei Village, Kericho County. Step-son to Sarah Biegon. Son-in-law to the late Reuben Tiony and Elizabeth Tiony of Endebess,Trans Nzoia County.
A loving and devoted husband to Jane Mutai. Committed, Adoring father to Mercy Chepkorir, Peter Kibet, Dominic Kiplang’at and Nathan Cheluget. Doting grandfather to Janelle Nafula. Father-in-law to Elisha Masinde and Sharon Kibet.
Loving brother to Rebecca Kosgey, Jackson Mutai, Magdalene Chepchirchir, Charles Mutai, Nelson Mutai. Step-brother to Jane, David, Esther, Eunice, Lisilyne, Simeon and Chepchumba.
Brother-in-law to Nicholas, Joyce, Salome, Joyce, the late Nancy, Charles, Geoffrey, Emily, Patrick, Wesley, Hellen, Agnes, Ann, Sarah, the late Abraham and Moses.
Uncle to Charles, Dr Catherine Sang, Joseph, Hon. Alfred Keter, Evans, Angela, Egla, Collins, Brian, Victor, Lazarus, Faith, Emmanuel, Dorothy, Ishmael, Abel, Noel, Brenda, Brian, Bevline, Billy, among others.
The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home, on Friday 15th September, 2023 for a memorial service beginning 11.00am at AIC Church, -Itoibei, Kericho County and thereafter a night vigil at his Itoibei home.
The funeral service will be held at Chepng’obob Primary School on Saturday 16th September, 2023 from 9.30am, followed by the burial service at his home in Itoibei Village.
2nd Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
