In loving memory of Stephen Mutai M’ lmanyara on the 1st anniversary of his death, Baaba, God called your name so softly, That only you could hear; And no one heard the footsteps, Of angels drawing near, The golden gates stood open, God saw you needed rest; His garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best.

Your words of wisdom and tempered sense of humour are missed dearly. No hour passes without imagining you sharing our happiness yet we know that you are always watching over us. We are truly proud when people talk about your generosity and selfless spirit; it is inspiring and invigorating to us.

The family of the late Stephen wish to express their appreciation to the Meru and Nairobi Funeral committees for their dedication towards the final rites of passage of our father. Special thanks go to H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta, Retired President Moi, Governors Kiraitu Murungi and HE John Nyagarama, Senator Kindiki, Meru County Members of Parliament, CECM Maingi Mugambi, Meru County Assembly Speaker Kaberia Arimba and MCA’s.

We also thank the Chairman & M.D of KTDA and the entire KTDA fraternity, former CS Prof Kaimenyi, Lavington, Taai and St. Paul’s Meru Churches, Pastors Rev Dr Lawi Imathiu, Rev John Maromba, Rev. Mercy Mukaria, Dr. Gladwell Kiarie and Dr. Peter Ndege, nurses and caregivers, friends and relatives who walked the journey with us.

To all our friends and relatives, kindly accept this message of appreciation as our most sincere gratitude for your prayers and support in our difficult period of grief and celebration of an honourable man. We will remain forever grateful.
