With humble acceptance of God’s will we regret to announce the death of Engineer Stephen Ongenyo Mogeni Managing Director of Mogeni Tea Factory Limited which occurred on the 8th September, 2019 at Kisumu.

Husband of the late Rosa Nyakerario and Miriam W. Mogeni. Loving father of Florence Birir (TSC), Kennedy Mogeni (Kisumu Polytechnic), Hellenstancia Mogeni Manyara (Business), the late Geoffrey Mogeni, George Mogeni (Kericho TTC), Nancy Kemuto Mogeni (Business), Sunlita Mogeni Koech (Business), Cathrine Mogeni (Business), Shiro Mogeni Shilako (Advocate). Grandfather of Kemboi, Chebet, Abedy, Vivian, Brenda, Merlene, Sammy, Godffrey, Geoffrey, Jeff, Eleen, Karen, Elizabeth, Beryl, Kibet, Stacie, Ngeno, Solaina, Stephen Junior and Cherop. Great-grandfather of Trevor and Rosa.

Brother of the late John, Pastor Momanyi Mogeni, Nyanduko, Nyamira, Abuga, Nyangeri, the late Gekara, the late Asande, the late Masita, Ombachi, Arita the late Singori, Jemimah, Osiri, Nyamagera, among others. Uncle of Nelson Migiro, Senator Okong’o Omogeni, Kelvin Mogeni (Advocate), Douglas Momanyi (KDF),Vincent Simba, Dr. Arita, Adams, Ken Bosire, Dauglas Mogeni, Cliff Onyancha, Daniel Masi, Yebesh Masita, Emily Mogeni, Jane, Gladys, Gilbert, Don, among others.

Brother-in-law of Truphena, Mary, Bosire, Hellen, Ndirangu, Gatheru, Waruguru, Beatrice, John, Pauline Momanyi, among others. Son-in-law of the late Francis Ongiri and the late Hepsibah Moraa and the late Laban Maina and the late Naomi Wanjiru. Father-in-law of the late Peter Birir, Lucy Mogeni, Charles Manyara, Dorcas Mogeni, the late Tom Ongayo, Benard Koech and Sidney Shilako. Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangement at Maxwell SDA Church (LMS) opposite Integrity Nairobi, and at his farm Kerumbe Estate Nyamira County.

Main funds drive will be held on the Tuesday 17th September, 2019 at the Old Sanctuary Maxwel SDA Church (LMS).

The cortege leaves Kisumu on Friday 20th September 2019, burial will be on 22nd September, 2019 at his Kerumbe Estate Farm, Nyamira County.
