Born: 11th October, 1990 — Rested: 19th March, 2022

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely demise of Steve Odhiambo Opar (Papa) of Lake Basin Development Authority, which occurred on 19th March, 2022.

Doting son to the late Dr. John Odhiambo Opar and Mama Beatrice Akinyi Opar of Rachuonyo North District Konyango Sub-location Kendu Bay.

Step-son to the late Monica Odhiambo.

Loving brother to Willis Ochieng (Alan Dick E.A Ltd) Dr. Collins Otieno (A.S.L.M), Henry Okumu, June Vicky Opar (Cocina), Gift Opar (Google, Ireland) and the late Joy Agnes.

Brother-in-law to Sophia Ochieng, Susan Ochang (Manager Kisumu W/Rep’s Office), among others.

Dear uncle to Winnie,Amanda, Nicole,Akinyi, John Brett and Ari. Grandson to the late Lukio Opar and the late Agnes Aganda.

Maternal grandson to the late Constantine and the late Mary Okumu.

Nephew to Mzee George Ochieng, the late Jonathan Rabala, the late James Ajwang, the late Elijah Owino, Robert Ochuma, the late Joseph Agira, the late Chrispine Osele, Ezra Odondi (Big Five K/ Bay), Aloice Nyadimo, the late Elly Onjage, the late Hellen Nandi, Caren Oguma, among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their home in Mamboleo – Kisumu – and their rural home in Kendu Bay for funeral arrangements.

The cortege will leave Avenue Hospital – Kisumu  on Friday 25th March, 2022 at 6:30am, for burial in Bware village of Konyango Sub-location, Rachuonyo North District – Homa Bay County.

It is God who Gives and takes away. May His name be praised.
