It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of the family matriarch, retired teacher Susan Wambui Kanyi of Kameriathanga Village, Ruthagati, Mathira West, Nyeri County.
Wife of Benson Kanyi Mathai.
Daughter to the late Raphael Gachagua Mathenge and the late Dominica Gathoni Gachagua. Daughter-in-law to the late Mathai Kamotho and the late Wanjiru Mathai.
Sister to Christopher Ndirangu, the late Mathenge and Mary Wangui. Step-sister to Mwangi Ruita, Ann Kabul, Peter Mathenge, the late Muturi, Rose Wambui, Hellen Nyangari, the late Catherine Wanjiku, Margaret Waruguru, Jane Wairimu, Esther Wangu, Martha Wangui and David Mathenge. Sister-in-law to the late Muraguri, Chiuri, the late Mbuthia and Weru.
Loving mother to Patricia Wanjiru (Mukurwe-ini), the late Irene Gathoni, Margaret Kirigo (USA), Patrick Mathai (Nakuru), MaryRose Wangui (Nairobi Hospital) and George Gacagua (Kimuri Sec.).
Mother-in-law to Joseph Wanjau, Peter Githinji, Ann Wangui Mathai, Simon Muturi and Florence Muthoni Gacagua.
Aunt to Antony Gachagua, Julie Gathoni, Peris Wangari, Penina Waithira, Susan Wambui, Frank Gachagua, Florence Gathoni, the late Carol Marigu and Ken Muriithi.
Grandmother to Josphat Wachiuri, BettyAnn Karungari, Abigael Wambui, Joseph Rungurua, Ben Michael Kanyi,Vivian Njeri, Kerry Kamau, Ben Victor Kanyi, Benson Mark Kanyi, Stanley Mathew Githae, Patrick Luke Mathai and Susan Abigail Wambui.
The cortege will leave St. Michael Parlour, Consolata Hospital – Mathari, on Saturday 08/07/2023 at 8.00am.The Holy Mass will follow at their Ruthagati home from 11:00arn.
