Sylvan Rudolf Obade
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Mzee Sylvan Rudolf Obade which occurred on June 10th 2023 while undergoing treatment at Ombo Mission Hospital in Migori.
Son of the late Peter Auma and the late Josephine Odendo. Brother to the late Mary Okech, Joseph Ong’or, the late Aloice Nyiendo, Ann Orinda, and Sabina Awino.
Husband to the late Mama Susan Rita Wanga, Mama Elizabeth Onyango, Mama Margaret Christopher Ogutu and Mama Pauline Agolla. Mzee will be remembered most fondly and missed most dearly as a wonderful father by his 18 surviving children: Peter Auma (Mancha School – Migori), Elizabeth Obade (Kenya National Examinations Council – Nairobi), Paul Obade (Kenyatta University – Nairobi), Vincent Obade (New Jersey USA), Felix Obade (Stanbic Bank -Nairobi), Hillary Obade (Nairobi), Emily Obade (Nairobi), Rose Mahiri (Tarime-Tanzania), Tony Obade (Absa Bank – Nairobi), Gerald Opir (Pundo-Apuoche Migori), Steve Obade (Migori Referral Hospital), Josemaria Kaumba (AEG Germany), James Obade (Germany), Josephine Obade (Nairobi), Bellarmine Obade, Anselm Obade, Maurice Obade, and Fidelis Obade (Oyani).
A loving grandfather to Susan, Sasha, Sharon, Keith, Elvis, Susanrita, Ashley, Chelsea, Barbara, Trevor, Tyra, Tiffany, Sonia, Tamarita, Tenisha, Obama, Johnson, Janet, Wayne, Waylan, Whitney, Brunomyles, Brayden, Patience, Preciousjoy, Khloe, Jonah, Amani, Joseph, and Luke.
Father in-law to Patricia, Masela, Catherine, Isabel, Peter Mahiri, Nana (RMS Ltd), Mueni, Gad, Mariam, Katharina and Alexandra. And a great-grandfather to Henry Seguh.
The cortege will leave Ombo Hospital mortuary in Migori on June 22nd, 2023 followed by a Requiem Mass at St. Joseph’s Parish Church Migori. Mzee will be laid to rest at his home in Kawa, Migori on June 23rd, 2023.
