Teresiah Waihuini Mwangi

1944-2020

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing-on of our beloved and dear Mum, Mrs. Teresiah Waihuini Mwangi on Friday 3rd July 2020. She hailed from Kiambuthia Village, Kairo Location, Mathioya Sub County, Murang’a County.

Wife of the Late Mr. Samuel Mwangi Ngwenya, and beloved co-wife of Mrs. Felishina Waceke Mwangi; and the late Jane Wanjiku Mwangi. She was the second born daughter of the Late Moses Kuriah Kariuki and Jane Njeri Kuriah. Teresiah was beloved mother of Mr. Peter Maina and Mercy Wacera, Arch. PJ Kuriah and Peris, Fraciah Nyambura and George, Evanson Gikonyo and Jecinta, Jane Njeri and late Kamau, Anthony Kariuki and Jackline, Nancy Warima and Bernard, Dr. John Mureithi and Grace, Stephen Thiga and Domitilla.

Step-mother of Stephen Maina and Esther, Paul Gikonyo and Rose, Samson Thuku and Priscilla, Joyce Nyambura and Kiago, the Late Jane Muthoni and Mungai, Nancy Warima and Maronge, Johnson Njeru and Mary, the Late James Mureithi and Mary, Eunice Nyambura and Kaguma, Mary Kiuru and Gachagua. Sister of James Kariuki Kuriah, Stephen Thiga Kuria, Margaret W. Kinyanjui, Loise N. Macharia, Jimmy Kuriah, Alex Macharia Kuriah (Hinga), the Late Njora Kuria, and Joseph Kioria; She was a grandmother and great grandmother of many.

Condolence books for family, relatives and friends have been opened at Ikon Gardens, Muthaiga (next to Cool Breeze, near Muthaiga Square), and also at the Family rural home in Kiambuthia Village.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Saturday, 11th July 2020 at 8:00 am followed by a funeral service at ACK St. Marks Church grounds in Kiambuthia at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Family Farm in Gatitu village.
