Thomas Awara Midega

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the untimely sudden demise of Thomas Awara Midega, which occurred on 28th January, 2023 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home.

Son of the late Gradus Owiny Midega and the late Birgita Angienda.

Beloved husband to Wilfrida Okanja Awara. Father to Lt Col Dr. Augustine Midega (DFMH), Valentine Okanja (Businessman), Risper Bol (Consolidated bank), Kalisto Badia (Formerly of IJM-Kenya) and Joram Kabach (Chief of Staff-Twiga Foods).

Brother to Benter Owino, the late Sylvester Onyango (Odidi), Philister Akumu, the late Adhiambo, Maurice Owiny, the late Paul Ojwang, the late Tom Mboya, the late Mathayo Ogada the late Jane Awino and the late Scholastica Akinyi.

Uncle to Millicent, Fredrick, Pamela, Caroline, the late Vincent, Emmaculate, Christine, Ruth, Lilian, Emmanuel, Benard, George Ojwang, Irene, Gaudencia, Walter, Namon, the late Jackline, Wilson, Rose, Evaline, Joseph, Maurice, Jerry, Victor, Mike, Agnes, Charlton, Sylvia, Oturi, Rose, Caroline, Vincent, Wilson(Mighty), Esther, Gilbert and Emma.

Father-in-law to Justus Ogallo, Fiona Oduor, Diana Ojwang, Elizabeth Ogutu and Quinter Achieng.

Nephew to Jactone Mandu and the late Julius Ouko.

The cortege leaves Star Mortuary on Friday, 17th February, 2023 for a church service at Alendu Catholic Church at noon and thereafter for a night vigil at his home Kakoth Village in Alendu. The internment will take place on 18th February, 2023 starting 10.00am.
