1st Anniversary / Appreciation

Dear Mum,
On this day you left us for a better place. Our eyes are still full of tears, our hearts so heavy, our memories so fond.We are eternally grateful for having had you as our mum, a special mum, a matriarch, a friend indeed. The light that shone ever so gently and unfailingly. Your physical company may be gone but your virtues accompany us everywhere, everyday. We thank the Almighty God for the life He gave unto you.

We sincerely thank friends and family who stood by us at our weakest hour.
We say a big thank you to all the doctors and nurses who took care of you during your life on this earth. Thanks to Sabatia Eye Clinic, The Aga Khan Hospital Ophthalmology Clinic, Dr Esipira, Prof Chunge, Dr Shibona and the entire CTTM Team, Prof Khainga, Dr Muhindi, Dr Wanyoike, Prof Ating’a, Dr Neeraj, Coptic Hospital nursing staff, and Lee funeral home.

Many thanks to mum’s sons and daughters-in-law Habel Shiloli, George Omondi, Florence Bulungu, Regina Emitungu and Hellen Mburu. Thanks to Father-in-charge Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Fr Ignacio, Fr Isaac Wanjohi and the entire Church community especially St. Joseph the Worker Jumuia led by their Chairperson Josephine Ng’ang’a and the Legion of Mary led by the Chairman Mr. Muoki, Mwinaya Catholic Church, The Ondusye Family, The Emakuche community, Abafofoyo, Kenyatta University, Loreto School Staff Alumni, Afya Sacco, Maroon 91, BAT Alumni, Tetra Pak Alumni, Unga Group, Mum’s Nairobi neighbours, Vincent and Christine Ochieng, Flex Gym, the Awitis and MUC Alumni.

As it is not possible to thank everyone personally, we request all those who stood by us to kindly accept our deepest gratitude.

Mama Nafoyo Mareba you are fondly missed by your children, grandchildren, and the wider family. Rest in Peace Mama.
