Venerable Canon Elijah Githinji Gachoki

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Venerable Canon Elijah Githinji Gachoki which occurred on Saturday, 28th July 2018.

Son of the late Gachoki Njagua and the late Wakabari Njagua. Loving husband of Jemimah Wangithi Githinji. Adored father of Leonard Munene Githinji (C.I.D. Karen), Gideon Zakarian Kinyua, Linus Peter Murimi (EABL) and Jackson Paul Njiiri (Multi Media University). Father-in-love of Caroline Munene and Priscilla Wanjiku. Grandfather of Sheila, Jemmo, Gift, Jimmy, Canon and Nancy. Great grandfather of Munene. Brother of the late Guandaru, the late Sopriano Murage, Jacinta Wamutira and the late Muthoni Ngaire.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at the ACK St Peter’s Church, Kahawa Sukari, at 6.30pm and also at his rural home at Kaharo Village, Mwangathia, Kirinyaga County for prayers and funeral arrangements.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, 5th August, 2018 at ACK St Peter’s Church, Kahawa Sukari.

The cortege will depart from Kenyatta University Mortuary at 7.00am on Monday 6/08/2018 for funeral service at ACK St. Barnabas Church, Kaharu at 10.00am followed by burial at his farm in Gitaku village, Kirinyaga County.
