Veronica Jeptepkeny Rono Metto (Vera)

It is with deep sorrow, but in humble acceptance of God’s will that we the Burgei family announce the passing on of Veronica Jeptepkeny Rono Metto (Vera) of Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Kipande House Branch. Vera rested following a sudden death on 28th July 2020 early in the morning.

Loving wife of Samson Kiptanui Metto of Cooperative (COOP) Bank, Nairobi. Doting Mother of Adriel Kiptoo, Abdiel Kipchirchir and Eliana Jerotich. Loving daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Gideon Kiptisia, Mr. & Mrs. Samson Chepsat and the late Mr. & Mrs Albert Kipronoh (of Kewangoi, Eldama Ravine). Daughter-in-law of the late Thomas Kimetto Burgei & Esther Burgei, of Sosiot (Chepyakwai) village, Ngeria Ward, Uasin Gishu County, and the late Philip Burgei & Mary Burgei of Lessos, Nandi. Sister of Charles & Denirine Kiprono, Mike & Mary Rotich, Vincent & Mary Tissia, Jelagat Tissia, Evans Tissia, Sharon Tissia, Kelvin Tissia, Amon & Anita Tissia, Andrew Tissia, Edith Jerop, Edna Tissia, Eve Tissia and Tecla Tissia (of Kewangoi, Eldama Ravine). Sister in law of Joseph & Emma Burgei, Daniel & Consheba Burgei, Gladys & Daniel Muya, Cyrus Burgei, Abigail Burgei, Bartholomew Burgei, Joan Burgei, Rebeca Burgei, Vibian Burgei and Lessos cousin brothers Charles & Zenah,Albert & Leah, Peter & Alice, Samson & Carol, John & Rosalyn. Aunt of Linah Rono, Alice Cheptoo, Jane, Catherine and the late Angelina.

Due to gathering restrictions currently in place, the relatives and friends are meeting virtually daily to make burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, 3rd August, 2020 at 8.00am for Eldoret. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 4th, 2020 at 10.00 am at home in Sosoit (Chepyakwai), Ngeria Ward, Uasin-Gishu County, followed by an intimate burial ceremony at the burial site.
