In Loving Memory

Today we remember Vincent Maangu Maiko, a cherished brother, uncle, son and friend who left us suddenly on 19th May, 2003.V incent’s departure from this world was at the time shocking but today we try to focus on the joyful moments and great memories.

Vincent was born to the late Marcella Margaret Bochere Maiko and the late Francis Beda Maiko.As the last born, child he was as a matter much beloved and brought immense joy and pride to the family. Vincent shared a deep bond with his siblings, Nyariana, Angela and Onchera Maiko. Their bond was unbreakable, marked by shared experiences, laughter, and endless support.

His mother named Vincent after St. Vincent de Paul the patron saint of the less well-off and this became a clear part of his nature and so beyond his loving nature as a loving uncle and relative, he extended his warmth and caring to all he met.

Vincent’s passing left a void not only in his immediate family but also among his extended relatives and dear friends. His memory is cherished by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who shared in the laughter, tears, and memorable moments of his life.

Those we hold most dear never truly leave us, they live on in the kindnesses they showed, the comfort they shared and the love they brought into our lives. We carry his light within us, forever grateful for the time we had together.
