APPRECIATION

BORN: 15TH MAY, 1948 – DIED: 18TH MAY, 2023

Lt Gen (Rtd) H.W. Njoroge and the rest of the family of the late Mrs. Virginia Wangari Njoroge, wish to convey our heartfelt gratitude to all relatives, friends, military, church groups, and neighbors who took their time to condole with us after the demise of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Your words of encouragement, prayers, visits, and contributions made the journey less of a burden for us. May God bless you all.

We are grateful to the current and immediate former CDF, Maj. General Dr. Ng’ang’a of DOD, and the Kenya Defense Forces for their support extended during treatment, until we laid her to rest.

We would like to thank the hospitals and doctors – Karen Hospital (Dr. Gikonyo and team), Nairobi Hospital (Dr. Eva Njenga and team), Chennai Hospital (India), and Defence Forces Memorial Hospital (Brig. Dr. King’ori and team), and Dr. Weru who guided the team giving home-care – Grace Wairimu, Evelyne Verosa, Rose Munyao, and Josephine Munyao.

We thank ACK St. Francis Church – Karen, led by Vicar Joyce Kariuki, and ACK St. Christopher’s Church Nakuru, led by Vicar Kabiru, for their spiritual support extended to the family and mourners. A special heartfelt thank you to the Military Veterans: Retired Generates Forum; Kenya Airforce Officers Veterans Association (KAVOVA), Retired Officers Forum, Army Navy Airforce Retired Officers of Kenya (ANARK), Nakuru Military Retired Women’s Association (NAKMIRWA), Kenya Airlines Pilots Association (KALPA) Executive Council, Kenya Airways (Staff, Pilots, and Cabin Crew), Moi Farces Academy (class ’87 and ’93), Chickengate Group, Kenyans in Malawi, Malawian* (Baraza, Crewmen), ICRISAT, and the Rift Valley Sports Club (Directors Isaac Ndegwa and Grace Kibiku).

We also thank the Nakuru County Governor M.E. Susan Kiltika, Deputy Governor H.E. Dr. David Kones, and county staff for their support during the funeral. We are grateful to the funeral committees in Nairobi led by Ambassador Maj. General (Rtd) Jeff Okanga, in Nakuru led by Lt Col. (Rtd) Mugtina, and Lengenet led by Mr Mwalimu Muriuki.

For the many years of support, we thank Hon. Senator David and Mrs Rev. Musila, Mr Stephen and Mrs Hannah Ng’ang’a, the Zakayo Kagombe family, Mrs Rachel Gatama, Kapsabet Girls group, and Dorcas Wanjiru.
