William Muchunu Maina (Maju)
It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance that we announce the sudden passing on of William Muchunu Maina (Maju) which occurred on 18th March 2023 through an accident.
Son to the late Charles Maina Muchunu and the late Winnie Wanjeri Maina. Step son to Mary Amina Shakuu.
Beloved husband to Irene Thunguri Muchunu. Doting father to Charlene Wanjeri, Bill Kihia, Rex Ciano, Annemarie Wanjiku, Teresa Wambura and Jacob Mbui.
A loving brother to the late Washington Mbui,Wanjiru Gitau, Jesinta Wairimu, Sophie Macharia, the late Rosemary Wambui, Anu Maina, Samuel Muchunu, Nancy Mumbi Butama, Jacinta Maina, Josephine Maina, and Sophie Maina.
Son-in-law to the late Harrison Wanyoike and the late Lucy Wanjiku.
Brother-in-law to the late George Gitau, Prof. Muthure Macharia,Tobias Butama, Judy Muthoni, Patrick & Sane Maimba, Dr. Benedict & Emma Maungu, Grace Wambui & the late Muhindi Ngugi, Nganga & Pauline Wanyoike, Angela & Dennis Kariuki, Dominic & Millicent Ngugi. A cousin, an uncle and guka to many.
Relatives and friends are meeting at All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi from Tuesday 21st- Thursday 23rd March 2023 from 6.00pm for funeral arrangements.
Requiem Mass will be held at St. Austin’s Catholic Church, Lavington on Thursday, 23rd March 2023 at 11.00am.
The cortege leaves KU Teaching and Referral Mortuary (Bypass) on Friday, 24th March 2023 at 6.30am for a funeral Mass at Kiria-ini Catholic Church at 10.00am, thereafter burial will follow at his farm, Kagio-ini Village, Kiru Location, Mathioya in Murang’a.
